Tottenham held talks with Barcelona and Bayern Munich target Ousmane Dembele last week, according to France Football, via Get French Football.

Dembele, 18, has quickly developed into one of the most sought after talents in Europe this season after enjoying a remarkable breakthrough campaign for Rennes in Ligue 1.

Barcelona and Bayern Munich are the frontrunners to sign the versatile forward but it has now emerged that Spurs held talks with representatives of the France Under-21 international last week.

No player aged 21 or under has scored more goals across Europe’s top five leagues than Dembele this season (12).
